L&T wins large EPC orders for museums, sports infrastructure and luxury residential projects

Mumbai, December 17: Larsen & Toubro’s Buildings & Factories business has secured multiple large engineering, procurement and construction orders across India, strengthening its order book in cultural infrastructure, sports facilities and premium residential construction.
One of the key orders has been awarded by the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation for the construction of Advait Lok, comprising the Acharya Shankar Museum Complex and parking facilities, at Omkareshwar in Khandwa district. The project involves development of a global-standard museum showcasing the life and philosophy of Acharya Shankar through curated exhibits.
The EPC scope includes civil structures, architectural finishes, mechanical, electrical and plumbing services, external development works including parking, and operations and maintenance for five years. The project is scheduled to be completed within 36 months.
In another major order, the Buildings & Factories business has received an EPC contract from the Assam government for the redevelopment of the R G Baruah Sports Complex at Sarusajai in Guwahati. The project includes construction of a FIFA-compliant football stadium with a seating capacity of 25,000, along with a range of supporting sports and allied facilities. The redevelopment is slated for completion in 27 months.
L&T has also secured an order from a reputed developer for the construction of luxury high-rise residential towers in Mumbai. The project comprises three towers with two basements, a ground floor and 45 to 66 upper floors, rising up to a height of 230 metres. The scope includes reinforced concrete shell and core construction, premium finishes and comprehensive MEP services.
L&T classifies these orders as “large”, with individual project values in the range of ₹2,500 crore to ₹5,000 crore.
