New facility to drive innovation, platform resilience and enterprise capabilities for U.S.-focused wealth management operations

Hyderabad: LPL Financial, a Nasdaq-listed US-based wealth management firm, has inaugurated its Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad, marking a significant step in expanding its global operating model and technology capabilities.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior leadership from LPL Financial, along with representatives from government and the financial services industry, underscoring Hyderabad’s growing prominence as a global hub for financial technology and innovation.
The company said the Hyderabad GCC will play a critical role in supporting enterprise-wide functions, including technology, operations, product development, data analytics, and risk management.
Hyderabad was selected for its strong ecosystem of skilled professionals across financial services, artificial intelligence, automation, and cloud engineering, along with its advanced infrastructure.
LPL Financial, a Fortune 500 company, supports over 32,000 financial advisors, nearly 1,200 financial institutions, and manages approximately $2.4 trillion in assets for around 8 million clients in the United States.
While its core business remains U.S.-focused, the Hyderabad center is expected to enhance advisor and client support, accelerate innovation cycles, and strengthen platform stability and operational resilience.
Speaking at the event, Telangana IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu said the investment reinforces the state’s ambition to evolve from a GCC destination into a global value creation ecosystem.
“This marks an important milestone in our journey to position Hyderabad as a leading global center for wealth management and financial services innovation,” he said.
Greg Gates, chief technology and information officer at LPL Financial, said the GCC represents a strategic step in building a more agile and scalable organisation.
“By bringing together global talent through our Hyderabad center, we are accelerating the development of next-generation capabilities that support our advisors and clients,” he said.
Ramesh Kaza, executive vice president and head of country for the India GCC, said the center will evolve into a critical capability hub over the next three to five years.
“The Hyderabad GCC reflects LPL’s confidence in India’s talent ecosystem. It will support business, product development, technology and operations aligned with our global strategy and standards,” he said.
The facility is currently operating from a temporary office at Prestige Sky Tech, Tower 1, in Nanakramguda’s financial district. The company plans to move into its permanent office space in Tower 2 by early 2027.
