Bilingual platform with real-time data, multilingual access and analytics integration to boost ease of doing business

New Delhi: Ministry of Commerce and Industry has launched a new integrated website for the Department of Commerce, along with a bilingual mobile application, aimed at enhancing service delivery and strengthening digital governance in India’s foreign trade ecosystem.
The platform, developed in compliance with the Digital Brand Identity Manual (DBIM) 3.0 and Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW), is designed to provide exporters, importers and other stakeholders seamless access to trade-related information, services and analytics.
The initiative marks a step forward in aligning trade facilitation systems with India’s broader e-governance vision focused on transparency, efficiency and ease of doing business.
The newly launched mobile application, available on Android and iOS, supports bilingual access and offers offline functionality along with GPS-enabled features, enabling users to access key services and updates on the go.
The ministry said the platform has been built with a clean and intuitive interface, ensuring ease of navigation while meeting accessibility standards for persons with disabilities. The website is mobile-responsive and offers customizable display settings, including font size, colour themes and language preferences.
A key highlight of the platform is its multilingual capability, with content available in 22 Indian languages through integration with the Bhashini API, expanding outreach across diverse user groups.
The website is also integrated with multiple government digital systems to enable real-time data access and streamlined services. These include the Trade Intelligence and Analytics (TIA) portal for live trade data, the Parliament portal for automatic updates on questions and answers related to the Department of Commerce, and CPGRAMS for grievance redressal.
In addition, the platform is connected with the department’s social media channels, including X, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, to improve stakeholder engagement and information dissemination.
The content management system (CMS)-enabled architecture allows authorised officials to update information in real time, ensuring that users have access to the latest trade policies, notifications and data.
The ministry said provisions have been made for continuous maintenance, security upgrades and scalability, ensuring the platform remains robust and future-ready.
