New Delhi: TransUnion CIBIL has partnered with NPCI BHIM Services Limited (NBSL) to integrate CIBIL Score and Credit Information Report (CIR) into the BHIM Payments App, enabling users to access their credit profile directly within the platform.

The integration allows BHIM users to securely view and monitor their credit score and key credit information through a consent-based system, ensuring transparency and user control over data access.

The move is aimed at strengthening credit awareness by embedding financial insights into everyday digital payment experiences. By bringing credit data into a widely used UPI platform, the initiative seeks to help users make more informed financial decisions.

The BHIM App, designed for accessibility across urban and rural India, supports more than 15 Indian languages and offers features such as expense tracking, family mode, and spending analytics. The addition of CIBIL Score enhances its functionality beyond transactions to include credit health management.

Bhavesh Jain, MD and CEO of TransUnion CIBIL, said the integration is a step towards building a more informed and inclusive credit ecosystem. He noted that as India moves towards more structured credit usage, easy access to credit information becomes increasingly important for consumers.

Lalitha Nataraj, MD and CEO of NPCI BHIM Services Ltd, said the collaboration aligns with the platform’s focus on simplicity and user empowerment, enabling users to integrate credit awareness into their daily financial journeys.

The feature is currently available on BHIM App version 4.0.19 and above.

Industry observers say the integration reflects a broader shift in India’s fintech ecosystem, where platforms are evolving from transaction tools to comprehensive financial management solutions.
