Mumbai: Gulf Oil Lubricants India Limited has announced strategic partnerships with leading construction equipment manufacturers Action Construction Equipment Limited, Ammann India, and XCMG, strengthening its presence in India’s infrastructure and construction segment.
The collaborations expand Gulf’s portfolio of OEM-approved lubricants aimed at improving equipment reliability, uptime and total cost of ownership in demanding operating environments, aligning with rising infrastructure activity across the country.
As part of its long-standing association with Action Construction Equipment (ACE), Gulf has introduced new additions to the ACE Genuine Oil range. The lubricants have been developed for ACE’s product portfolio, including cranes, backhoe loaders, compactors, motor graders, forklifts, tractors and harvesters, and are tailored to Indian operating conditions.
Gulf has also entered into a strategic partnership with Ammann India, a major player in road construction equipment. Under the agreement, Gulf will serve as the official lubricants partner for Ammann’s equipment range, supplying products under the Ammann Genuine Oil brand. The partnership is expected to support contractors and infrastructure developers by enhancing equipment performance, extending service life and improving sustainability outcomes. The companies also plan to jointly develop specialised lubricants for Ammann’s next-generation equipment.
In addition, Gulf has partnered with XCMG to introduce XCMG-branded genuine lubricants in the Indian market, reinforcing its focus on localisation and application-specific solutions for infrastructure equipment.
Commenting on the development, Ravi Chawla, managing director and chief executive officer of Gulf Oil Lubricants India, said infrastructure has been a strategic focus area for the company for over 15 years. He said the partnerships would enable Gulf to deliver application-specific lubricant solutions that help reduce downtime and optimise equipment operating costs.
Alongside the OEM alliances, the company also unveiled a new range of next-generation lubricants, including fire-resistant hydraulic oil, energy-efficient zinc-free hydraulic oil, diesel engine oils compliant with current emission norms, synthetic gear oils and other advanced formulations. The company said its products are developed through local R&D and tested for India’s operating conditions, with readiness for emerging emission standards and electric and hybrid equipment platforms.
Gulf currently maintains more than 50 OEM associations across automotive, industrial and construction sectors, supporting both retail and institutional customers through product selection, technical services and customised solutions.
