DoorDash opens first India office in Hyderabad, plans over 3000 jobs
The Hitec City facility begins with 500 professionals and becomes the company’s third internal customer experience hub globally, supporting consumers, merchants and delivery partners across its markets.

HYDERABAD: DoorDash has opened its first India office in Hyderabad, starting with 500 professionals and planning to expand its workforce to more than 3,000 over the next two years.
Telangana IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu inaugurated the facility on Wednesday alongside DoorDash Chief Financial Officer Ravi Inukonda, senior company executive Jenna Kohnke and Telangana government IT adviser Sai Krishna, according to an official release here.
Located in Hitec City, the hub will initially house Customer Experience and Integrity (CXI) and general and administrative teams. It becomes DoorDash’s third internal CXI service center globally, alongside facilities in Tempe, Arizona, and Mexico City.
The Hyderabad operation will support the company’s global business, serving consumers, merchants and delivery partners. More specialised integrity, fraud review, and technical capabilities may be added over time.
Sridhar Babu said the investment demonstrated Hyderabad’s growing role as a location where global digital businesses could build and operate key functions for international markets.
The planned expansion would bring capabilities in customer experience, technology and operations to the city, he said, adding that the investment extended beyond employment creation.
Kohnke, DoorDash’s Senior Director for Workforce Strategy and Talent Acquisition Operations, said Hyderabad’s talent pool, technology ecosystem and environment for global capability centres made it a natural choice for the company’s long-term investment.
The facility adds to Telangana’s efforts to expand Hyderabad’s global capability center ecosystem. The government said the city currently hosts more than 500 GCCs, employing over five lakh people.
Its broader expansion strategy targets more than 100 additional GCCs, one lakh direct high-value jobs and three lakh indirect jobs. The government expects employment in Hyderabad’s GCC sector to reach 10 lakh by 2029.
