Agrinnovate India facilitates ICAR partnerships with industry for CSR support in agriculture
Agrinnovate India facilitated MoUs between ICAR and Pidilite Industries, Venkateshwara Hatcheries and Everest Instruments to support agriculture and allied-sector initiatives through corporate CSR funding.
The MoUs with Pidilite Industries, Venkateshwara Hatcheries and Everest Instruments were facilitated during the 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and 71st Board Meeting of Agrinnovate India Ltd., held in New Delhi on September 24, 2026.
NEW DELHI: Agrinnovate India Ltd facilitated the signing of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and three industry partners as part of efforts to mobilise corporate social responsibility (CSR) support for public-benefit initiatives in agriculture and allied sectors.
The MoUs with Pidilite Industries, Venkateshwara Hatcheries and Everest Instruments were facilitated during the 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and 71st Board Meeting of Agrinnovate India Ltd., held in New Delhi on September 24, 2026.
The event was attended by Dr ML Jat, Director General, ICAR and Chairman, Agrinnovate India; Gyanendra Tripathi, Secretary, ICAR and Vice-Chairman, Agrinnovate India; Sandeep Sarkar, Financial Advisor, ICAR; Dr Praveen Malik, CEO, Agrinnovate India; members of the company’s Board of Directors and senior ICAR officials.
Partnerships cover agriculture, climate resilience and innovation
The collaborations will cover a range of areas identified as priorities for agriculture and allied sectors. These include sustainable agri-food systems, climate-resilient agriculture and natural resource management, livelihood enhancement and technology transfer.
The partnerships will also support women and youth empowerment, agri-startups and incubation, rural entrepreneurship, digital innovation and capacity building.
Other areas include nutrition-sensitive agriculture, biofortification, food processing and value-chain development, farm mechanisation, education and knowledge partnerships, and One Health.
The initiatives will be taken up through mutually agreed areas of collaboration between ICAR and the industry partners.
Agrinnovate’s role
Agrinnovate India Ltd. serves as the agribusiness, innovation and technology commercialisation and CSR fund-mobilising arm of ICAR.
The organisation’s role in facilitating the industry partnerships is aimed at connecting corporate CSR resources with public-benefit initiatives in agriculture and allied sectors.
