Oslo/Mumbai: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has secured a multi-year strategic partnership with Norway-based Elopak ASA, a global leader in paper-based packaging and filling equipment, to modernise and transform the company’s global IT operations through artificial intelligence, automation and cloud technologies.
Under the agreement, TCS will serve as Elopak’s strategic IT partner, leading the transformation and management of its global IT operations through a process-centric operating model designed to better align technology services with business priorities. The initiative aims to improve operational agility, efficiency and overall digital experience across Elopak’s international operations.
As part of the transformation programme, TCS will deploy its proprietary Cognix™ platform, an AI-powered service delivery suite built on the company’s Machine First™ philosophy. The platform combines advanced analytics, automation and AI-driven capabilities to help enterprises modernise and optimise technology operations.
The programme will support Elopak’s broader strategy to modernise end-to-end IT services, including the establishment of an integrated service desk and upgrades to key enterprise applications.
Merethe Johansen, Chief Information Officer of Elopak, said the partnership represents an important step in advancing the company’s digital transformation goals.
“Our partnership with TCS represents a significant step in advancing our digital ambitions and strengthening our global operations. By modernising our IT landscape and leveraging AI-driven capabilities, we aim to improve efficiency, enhance user experience and support our growth objectives as we move towards our 2030 vision,” she said.
Anupam Singhal, President – Manufacturing, TCS, said enterprises increasingly require adaptive digital foundations capable of evolving with changing business needs.
“Through this partnership, we will help Elopak modernise its IT operations with AI, automation and cloud, enabling greater agility, operational efficiency and user experience across its global business,” he said.
Amit Pethe, Country Head, TCS Norway, highlighted the strategic importance of the collaboration, noting that the combined strengths of TCS’ AI-led capabilities and domain expertise would help create a resilient and intelligent IT ecosystem for Elopak’s future growth.
Elopak, which operates in more than 40 countries and serves customers across over 70 markets, is pursuing a long-term strategy focused on expanding market share, strengthening its leadership in paper-based packaging and reducing dependence on plastics through sustainable alternatives. The company employs more than 3,000 people globally and has committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
According to the companies, the digital transformation initiative will create a stronger technology backbone to support innovation, faster response to market demands and enhanced customer engagement as Elopak advances its sustainability and growth objectives.
The deal further strengthens TCS’ footprint in the Nordic region, where the company continues to expand its presence through local offices, delivery centres and long-term partnerships across Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
For TCS, which reported consolidated revenues exceeding $30 billion in FY26, the agreement reinforces its growing role in helping global enterprises accelerate AI-led digital transformation and cloud adoption initiatives.
