Vijayawada gets 1.5 MW EV charging station with facilities for cars, trucks and buses
The Bolt.Earth–P Qube Solutions facility near NH-16 in Vijayawada combines high-power DC fast chargers with charging infrastructure for two- and three-wheelers, expanding EV charging options along a key highway corridor.
The facility has been deployed by EV charging network operator Bolt.Earth in partnership with P Qube Solutions.

VIJAYAWADA: A 1.5 MW electric vehicle charging station has been inaugurated at P Qube Solutions near NH-16 Cross in Nunna, Vijayawada, bringing high-power DC fast-charging facilities and multiple charging options for different categories of electric vehicles to the Andhra Pradesh highway corridor.
The facility has been deployed by EV charging network operator Bolt.Earth in partnership with P Qube Solutions. Its charging infrastructure includes two 240 kW DC fast chargers, three 180 kW DC fast chargers and one 60 kW DC fast charger designed to serve electric cars, trucks and buses.
The deployment also includes one 6 kW fast charger for three-wheelers, two 3 kW DC fast chargers for two-wheelers and four 3.3 kW AC charging sockets.
Located near the NH-16 Cross in Nunna, the station is positioned to serve local charging requirements as well as intercity EV travel along the highway corridor.
Multi-category charging infrastructure
The combination of high-power DC chargers and lower-capacity charging solutions allows the facility to cater to multiple vehicle segments at a single location. The infrastructure is intended to support a wider range of EV users, including those travelling between cities.
The deployment reflects the growing role of strategically located charging facilities in supporting electric mobility beyond established urban centres. Partnerships between charging infrastructure operators and site hosts can help expand access to charging facilities along important transport corridors.
Jyotiranjan Harichandan, Founder of Bolt.Earth, said the project brings together charging technology, power availability and a strategically located site. He described partnerships with site hosts as important to building reliable and scalable EV charging infrastructure.
D Phani Prakash of P Qube Solutions said the partnership was selected for its ability to provide charging solutions across major EV segments, along with hardware, software and after-sales support.
The company said the facility’s location along the NH-16 corridor would support the expansion of EV charging infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh and improve access for intercity travellers.
As electric mobility expands, high-capacity charging facilities along highways are expected to play an important role in improving charging accessibility and supporting longer-distance EV journeys.
