NEW DELHI: The National Single Window System has delivered more than 8.5 lakh approvals and registered 5.77 lakh businesses, expanding digital access to regulatory clearances.
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) reported the figures on October 27 in an update on business reforms and startup support. The platform has received approximately 15.5 lakh applications.
It offers 3,779 services – 327 Central and 3,452 state services – and is available in 22 Indian languages.
To reduce repeated paperwork, 89 common data fields automatically populate across 285 approvals. The Know Your Approvals module helps businesses identify applicable permissions.
DPIIT said Industrial Entrepreneur Memoranda are now generated automatically using government databases, without departmental approval. Production visa sponsorship letters for foreign professionals are also generated through integration with the visa portal.
Separately, DPIIT reported 2,50,046 recognised startups and more than 25.42 lakh jobs. Across Central and state authorities, 47,957 compliance requirements have been digitised, simplified, decriminalised or eliminated.
