NEW DELHI: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) will showcase India’s indigenous defence technologies and explore opportunities for international collaboration at VISV-2026 in New Delhi on October 30.

Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth inaugurated the event at the Manekshaw Centre, according to a Defence Ministry announcement issued on October 29.

Organised by DRDO in collaboration with the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS), VISV stands for Vision, Innovation, Synergy and Values. The event’s theme is “Showcasing Defence Capabilities, Strengthening Global Partnerships”.

The programme will bring together representatives of the defence establishment, industry, academia and the diplomatic community to familiarise partner countries with India’s advances in defence research, development and production.

Technical sessions will cover aeronautical systems, land and naval systems, sensing and communications, missile systems, microelectronics, computational solutions and soldier support systems.

A panel discussion will examine opportunities for joint collaboration, capability development and mutually beneficial partnerships between India and friendly partner nations.

The deliberations will also explore how technological innovation, defence production and defence diplomacy can support indigenous capabilities and international cooperation.

DRDO said the initiative seeks to advance technological self-reliance while strengthening international defence partnerships through dialogue and cooperation.
