Databricks names Corrie Briscoe to lead APJ partner ecosystem as enterprise AI adoption accelerates
Former AWS executive Corrie Briscoe will spearhead Databricks' Asia Pacific and Japan partner strategy, strengthening its ecosystem to help enterprises deploy agentic AI, analytics and data applications at scale.
Briscoe brings nearly three decades of experience in developing technology partner ecosystems across Asia Pacific.
BENGALURU/SINGAPORE: Databricks has appointed former Amazon Web Services (AWS) executive Corrie Briscoe as Vice President of Partnerships and Alliances for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), reinforcing its commitment to expanding its partner ecosystem as enterprises across the region accelerate investments in agentic artificial intelligence, according to a media release on Tuesday.
Based in Singapore, Briscoe will lead Databricks’ partnerships across APJ, working closely with cloud providers, global and regional systems integrators, independent software vendors (ISVs) and technology partners. Her mandate includes helping organizations build, deploy and scale enterprise AI applications, analytics platforms and AI agents using the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
The appointment comes at a time when businesses across Asia Pacific are moving beyond AI experimentation toward enterprise-scale deployments. However, organisations continue to face challenges ranging from fragmented data environments and shortages of AI-skilled professionals to governance and regulatory compliance requirements. Databricks said it believes a strong partner ecosystem will play a critical role in overcoming these barriers.
Briscoe brings nearly three decades of experience in developing technology partner ecosystems across Asia Pacific. Before joining Databricks, she led the APJ Partner Core organisation at AWS, overseeing partner programmes, strategic investments and go-to-market initiatives. Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership positions at Microsoft and Cisco, where she focused on regional partner strategy and ecosystem development.
Databricks has also been expanding its global partner strategy with the launch of the Brickbuilder Partner Network (BPN), a programme designed to reward partners for delivering measurable business outcomes through AI and data implementations. The company currently works with more than 8,000 partners worldwide, including over 1,000 across the Asia Pacific and Japan region.
Kori O’Brien, Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships at Databricks, said enterprise AI is no longer about selecting the best large language model alone, but about providing AI systems with the right enterprise context through a unified and governed data platform. He said Briscoe’s leadership would help partners build the next generation of AI solutions while creating greater value for customers.
Commenting on her appointment, Briscoe said Asia Pacific is one of the world’s fastest-growing AI markets, characterised by diverse industries, regulatory environments and varying levels of AI maturity. She said she looked forward to working with Databricks’ partner community to help customers deploy AI with confidence, drive innovation and generate long-term business value.
