India, Germany explore cooperation in advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies
Berlin meetings covered investment, industrial research and partnerships in microelectronics, smart manufacturing and battery technologies, alongside wider trade and business cooperation.

BERLIN: India and Germany explored closer cooperation in investment, advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies during Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal’s engagements in Berlin on October 23.
The meetings concluded his two-day visit to Germany, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said on Saturday.
Goyal met Levin Holle, economic and financial policy adviser at the German Federal Chancellery, to discuss bilateral economic and investment ties. Separate meetings with executives from Siemens Healthineers, Bertelsmann and the Volkswagen–Škoda group examined business partnerships and industrial cooperation.
Research collaboration featured in discussions with German industrial research institutions and heads of selected Fraunhofer Institutes. Areas covered included microelectronics, power electronics, logistics, smart manufacturing and battery technologies, with an emphasis on industry–academia partnerships.
Members of the accompanying Indian business delegation attended sectoral roundtables with German industry representatives. Goyal also interacted with Indian researchers, students and diaspora members.
