TPCC Vice President Jhansi Rajender Reddy highlights diaspora role in Telangana’s development at TDF event in US
Addressing a gathering of political leaders and Telugu diaspora representatives, Jhansi Rajender Reddy praised overseas Indians for supporting education, healthcare and social initiatives while maintaining strong ties with their homeland.

United States: TPCC Vice President Jhansi Rajender Reddy has underlined the growing importance of the Telugu diaspora in Telangana’s development, calling for stronger engagement between overseas Indians and their home state through platforms that promote social, cultural and community initiatives.
She was speaking while participating in a Telangana Development Forum (TDF) event held in the United States, which brought together political leaders from different parties visiting from India, representatives of Telugu associations in the US and prominent members of the Indian diaspora.
The gathering provided a platform for Telugu community members living abroad to interact with political and community leaders from India and exchange views on strengthening their connections with their homeland.
During the programme, Jhansi Rajender Reddy interacted with several political leaders, community representatives and diaspora personalities and discussed the role overseas Indians can play in contributing to the social and economic development of Telangana.
Speaking on the occasion, she appreciated organisations such as TDF for creating platforms that bring Telugu people living in different parts of the world together and encourage their participation in social, cultural and service-oriented activities.
She said the contribution of Non-Resident Indians in areas such as education, healthcare and social service was particularly noteworthy and reflected their continuing connection with their places of origin despite living thousands of kilometres away.
The Telugu diaspora has established a significant presence across the United States over the years, with community organisations playing an active role in preserving Telugu language and culture while also supporting charitable and development initiatives in India.
Jhansi Rajender Reddy said greater participation by overseas Indians could contribute meaningfully to Telangana’s development and expressed hope that such platforms would facilitate deeper cooperation and engagement in the coming years.
She also stressed the importance of maintaining stronger links between Telugu communities abroad and institutions and communities back home so that their experience, expertise and resources could contribute to development and social initiatives.
The event concluded with interactions among participating political leaders, Telugu association representatives and members of the diaspora, followed by commemorative photographs.
