Top IPS officer CV Anand appointed Director General of Police of Telangana
Anand, a 1991-batch IPS officer, has been transferred from his current role as Special Chief Secretary to Government, Home Department, and posted to the top police position in the state.

Hyderabad, April 28: The Government of Telangana on Tuesday appointed senior IPS officer CV Anand as the Director General of Police (Head of Police Force), with effect from the date of assumption of charge.
According to a government order issued by the General Administration (Special B) Department, Anand, a 1991-batch IPS officer, has been transferred from his current role as Special Chief Secretary to Government, Home Department, and posted to the top police position in the state.
The appointment follows the empanelment process conducted by the Union Public Service Commission, in line with prescribed guidelines and recommendations of the empanelment committee.
Anand will serve in the apex scale with a fixed pay of ₹2,25,000, according to the GO.
The order was issued in the name of the Governor of Telangana and signed by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao.
The appointment is expected to bring important changes within the Telangana Police department and strengthen administrative efficiency.
