OHM brings global AI and Consciousness dialogue to New Delhi, explores human agency in the age of artificial intelligence

NEW DELHI: As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly embedded in everyday life, conversations around the technology are expanding beyond technical capabilities and regulation to include its broader impact on human behaviour, decision-making and consciousness.

Against this backdrop, Our Highest Mantra (OHM) brought its global AI and Consciousness speaking tour to New Delhi following its inaugural event in Bangkok, held in partnership with The AI Collective. The private gathering brought together founders, investors, technologists and creators to discuss how society can navigate the growing influence of artificial intelligence while preserving human agency.

The event featured OHM Founder and CEO Sathi Roy alongside James Pimentel-Pinto, UK Regional Director of The AI Collective, Apple’s first iPhone developer in Europe and Chief Product Officer at OHM. The discussion focused on how increasingly capable AI systems are transforming not only workplaces and businesses but also the ways people think, make decisions and interact with one another.

The New Delhi event comes months after India hosted the India AI Impact Summit, reflecting the country’s growing prominence in global AI discussions. According to the organisers, India is uniquely positioned in the evolving AI landscape due to its large technology ecosystem, engineering talent and longstanding philosophical traditions that explore questions of consciousness.

During the discussion, Roy argued that intelligence and consciousness should not be viewed as synonymous.

“Artificial intelligence is becoming part of the operating system of modern life. It can organize information, speed up work, identify patterns and help us solve problems at a scale previously unimaginable. But intelligence is not the same as consciousness,” she said, describing consciousness as encompassing lived experience, emotion, relationships, intuition and meaning.

Roy also suggested that the long-term challenge posed by AI is not merely technological displacement but the possibility of people gradually surrendering their own judgement and curiosity.

“The deeper risk is not that machines become more capable. It is that we begin surrendering our own agency without realizing it. We can outsource calculations and repetitive tasks, but we must be careful not to outsource curiosity, discernment and the discomfort of not knowing,” she said.

The discussion also explored the role of emotional resilience and self-awareness in an AI-driven future. Roy suggested that qualities such as emotional literacy, nervous system regulation and cognitive resilience could become increasingly important as AI tools become more deeply integrated into professional and personal life.

Following the event, Roy participated in a recorded conversation with entrepreneur Nathasha Kumar, Founder and Managing Partner of Maloka and Founder of NeoYug, focusing on the intersection of artificial intelligence, consciousness and spirituality.

According to OHM, the New Delhi event is part of a broader international speaking tour being conducted with The AI Collective across major cities, engaging founders, investors and technology leaders in discussions about the ethical, societal and human implications of rapidly advancing artificial intelligence.
