HYDERABAD: Godrej Wealth has announced its entry into Hyderabad, establishing a presence in South India as part of plans to reach ₹1 lakh crore in assets under management and expand across 35 locations by 2031.

The wealth management business of the Godrej Industries Group said on October 29 that it would build a team of experienced wealth managers in Hyderabad to serve clients across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

The company is targeting high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals with investable assets of ₹5 crore and above, including business families, entrepreneurs and globally connected professionals.

Speaking to the media here, Manish Shah, Managing Director and CEO of Godrej Capital and Non-Executive Director of Godrej Wealth, said the expansion reflected opportunities emerging beyond established wealth management centres.

“Hyderabad is an important market in this journey and establishes our presence in South India as we continue to expand nationally,” he said.

The company cited Hyderabad’s entrepreneurial base, pharmaceutical industry and global capability centre ecosystem as factors supporting its entry.

According to figures cited in the announcement, Hyderabad accounts for 6.3% of India’s ultra-high-net-worth population, compared with 5% in 2015, and has approximately 19,800 millionaire households. The company also put the city’s mutual fund assets under management at ₹1.84 lakh crore in July 2026, an increase of 18% year on year.

Kunal Karnani, CEO of Godrej Wealth, said clients in the city had requirements extending beyond investments to managing business wealth, succession planning and their families’ financial future.

He said the company would focus on understanding these priorities and providing personalised solutions.

Godrej Wealth said its wealth managers would use proprietary technology to support client assessment and investment evaluation. Its Godrej Signals capability assesses clients’ financial priorities, risk capacity and behaviour, while Godrej Choice supports the evaluation of investment solutions through risk profiling.

The company’s offerings include access to mutual funds, portfolio management services, alternative investment funds, private credit and customised portfolio solutions.
