NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for the successful launch of GSLV-F17 carrying EOS-05, describing the mission as another outstanding achievement and a proud moment for the nation.
The Prime Minister said the successful launch of the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV-F17) carrying EOS-05 reflects the excellence, innovation and growing capabilities of India’s space sector.
Modi also highlighted the expanding partnership between ISRO and Indian industry, saying the collaboration is adding greater strength and scale to India’s space programme and broadening the country’s capabilities across the space ecosystem.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said the launch demonstrated the “excellence, innovation and growing capabilities” that increasingly define India’s space sector.
He further noted that the growing participation of Indian industry in the space programme is strengthening the sector beyond individual missions, helping expand capabilities across the wider space ecosystem.
The Prime Minister’s remarks came after the successful GSLV-F17 mission carrying EOS-05, described in the government release as India’s first-ever imaging satellite from geosynchronous orbit.
The achievement comes as India continues to expand its capabilities in satellite launches, Earth observation and the broader space economy, with greater participation from domestic private industry alongside ISRO.
