NEW DELHI: The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) has released the 50th monthly report of the Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS), showing that central ministries and departments disposed of 1,99,968 public grievances in June 2026 while maintaining an average grievance resolution time of just 14 days.

The latest report marks another milestone for the Centre’s digital grievance redressal platform, with the Central Secretariat recording more than one lakh grievance disposals for the 48th consecutive month, reflecting sustained improvements in public service delivery and administrative responsiveness.

According to the report, 1,96,133 fresh public grievance (PG) cases were received during June, while 1,99,968 cases were resolved, bringing the pending caseload down to 78,793 cases. In the appeals category, 32,269 appeals were received and 32,256 were disposed of during the month, leaving an appeal pendency of 21,753 cases.

DARPG said the monthly reports form part of the Department’s 10-step CPGRAMS reform process aimed at improving the quality and speed of grievance redressal across central ministries and departments.

The report also highlights growing citizen participation on the platform. During June, 83,544 new users registered on the CPGRAMS portal through various channels, with Uttar Pradesh accounting for the highest number of registrations at 15,287.

The CPGRAMS Feedback Call Centre collected 75,318 citizen feedback responses during the month, including 42,226 feedback items relating to central ministries and departments, enabling authorities to assess the quality of grievance resolution and citizen satisfaction.

The report noted that CPGRAMS continues to expand its reach through the Common Service Centre (CSC) network. Integrated with more than five lakh CSCs operated by around 2.5 lakh Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs), the platform registered 6,262 grievances through CSCs during June 2026, improving access to grievance redressal services in rural and remote areas.

DARPG also reviewed the performance of the Secretary-level Review Meeting Module, which became operational on June 14, 2025, to strengthen oversight of grievance disposal. As of June 30, 2026, a total of 377 review meetings had been conducted across Central Ministries and Departments, including 24 meetings held during June alone.

The Grievance Redressal Assessment and Index (GRAI) for June 2026 recognised the best-performing ministries and departments based on grievance handling efficiency.

Among Group A organisations, which handle 500 or more grievances, the Department of Posts, Department of Telecommunications and the Department of Financial Services (Insurance Division) emerged as the top performers.

In Group B, comprising organisations receiving fewer than 500 grievances, the Ministry of Textiles, Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting secured the highest rankings for grievance redressal performance.

The publication of the 50th CPGRAMS monthly report underscores the government’s continued emphasis on data-driven governance, faster grievance resolution and greater accountability in public administration through digital platforms.
