Pocket Entertainment crosses $500 million ARR as AI transforms entertainment creation
Pocket Entertainment has crossed $500 million in annual revenue run rate, growing 70% year-on-year as AI powers content creation, personalisation and global expansion across its entertainment platforms.
Rohan Nayak, CEO and co-founder of Pocket Entertainment, said AI is creating a new era of entertainment characterised by abundant content, individual creators capable of producing blockbuster stories and highly personalised experiences.

BENGALURU: Pocket Entertainment, the parent company of Pocket FM and Pocket Saga, has surpassed $500 million in annual revenue run rate (ARR), registering 70% year-on-year growth as artificial intelligence reshapes how entertainment content is created, produced, personalised and distributed.
The company said the milestone reflects the continued global expansion of Pocket FM, its flagship AI audio drama platform, and the growing use of AI across its entertainment ecosystem.
Revenue retention rises to 76%
Pocket FM remains the primary growth engine for Pocket Entertainment. Revenue retention on the platform has increased from 44% to 76%, indicating stronger and more sustained listener engagement.
The company has also expanded its content portfolio through licensing and adaptation partnerships. A collaboration with Disney Publishing APAC, for instance, brought 36 Marvel audio series episodes to Hindi-language listeners.
Over the past year, Pocket FM expanded into the UK, Germany and France, while broadening its catalogue across genres such as thriller and fantasy. It also launched user-generated content in the US.
The company said 96 titles on its platform have individually generated more than $1 million in revenue, including 13 titles that have crossed the $10 million mark.
AI accelerates global content expansion
Pocket Entertainment said its AI entertainment engine combines more than 550,000 creators, a purpose-built AI technology stack and real-time audience insights covering content creation, production, localisation and distribution.
AI-driven audience insights help identify stories that are gaining traction, allowing promising intellectual property to be scaled faster across markets. According to the company, AI has reduced the time required to launch in a new market from approximately 12 months to two months.
The creator ecosystem now generates more than 2.6 million annualised hours of content, while Pocket FM’s library has expanded to more than 770,000 titles across eight categories.
AI opens the door to a new generation of creators
Rohan Nayak, CEO and co-founder of Pocket Entertainment, said AI is creating a new era of entertainment characterised by abundant content, individual creators capable of producing blockbuster stories and highly personalised experiences.
He said creators are increasingly able to develop stories capable of generating millions of dollars in revenue — something that historically required large studios, teams, substantial budgets and years of production.
Pocket FM listeners currently spend an average of 155 minutes a day on the platform, with 51% of weekly active users engaging with it daily.
Pocket Entertainment said its broader vision is to make entertainment creation more accessible by combining human creativity with AI, enabling creators to develop, distribute and monetise content across languages and geographies.
250 million listeners across 20 countries
Pocket FM currently has more than 250 million listeners across 20-plus countries and supports more than 550,000 creators. Its catalogue contains more than 770,000 audio series, according to the company.
Founded in India in 2018 by Rohan Nayak, Nishanth KS and Prateek Dixit, Pocket Entertainment is headquartered in Bengaluru and Culver City, California, with offices in San Francisco, Berlin and Mumbai.
