HYDERABAD: A national policy framework aimed at accelerating India’s transition to a green logistics and hydrogen-based economy will be unveiled at the 5th International Conference on Green Technology, Policy and Finance (ICGTPF 5.0) in Hyderabad.
Known as the Hyderabad Declaration, the framework proposes the establishment of a National Green Logistics & Hydrogen Corridors Mission (NGLHCM) to integrate green hydrogen, digital logistics and port-led industrial development under a unified strategy. The declaration was earlier released by Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy on June 12.
The declaration recommends reducing India’s logistics costs from the current 14 per cent of GDP to global benchmarks of 8-9 per cent, with projected annual economic gains of USD 320-390 billion through improved efficiency, lower fuel consumption and enhanced export competitiveness.
Among its key proposals are the development of the Kandla-Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) Hydrogen Corridor as a pilot project, conversion of major ports into zero-emission green ports, creation of a Green Logistics & Ports Fund through public-private partnerships, and deployment of AI-enabled digital logistics platforms with carbon tracking capabilities.

The International Conference on Green Technology, Policy and Finance, founded by Dr Sandip Chattopadhyay, brings together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers and institutions to promote sustainable technologies and green economic growth.
