Hyderabad: Gandhi Kotari and Sruthi Adhini emerged as title winners in the men’s and women’s categories respectively at the 1st Telangana State Ranking Tenpin Bowling Tournament held at Game Xtreme, Hitech City.
In the men’s final, decided on cumulative pinfall over two games, second seed Gandhi Kotari took early control with a dominant 212–156 lead over top seed Prem Sai in Game 1. Maintaining consistency in Game 2, Kotari scored 178 against Prem Sai’s 179 to seal a comfortable 55-pin victory with an aggregate score of 390–335.
Earlier in the stepladder round, fourth seed Rakshith Raghav defeated third seed Naveen Siddam by 52 pins (378–326). Gandhi Kotari then edged past Rakshith Raghav in a closely fought second match by six pins (350–344) to advance to the final.
In the women’s division, second seed Sruthi Adhini delivered a composed performance to defeat top seed Sindhura. Sruthi secured a 17-pin lead in Game 1 (131–114) and extended her advantage in Game 2 with a score of 142 against Sindhura’s 132, winning the title with an aggregate of 273–246.
The final standings in the men’s category saw Gandhi Kotari finish first, followed by Prem Sai in second place, Rakshith Raghav in third, and Naveen Siddam in fourth.
Special awards were presented to K Ratna Raju for the highest average in a six-game block (196.66) and to Prem Sai for the highest average across 18 games (196.00).
