New Delhi, October 18: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday delivered a keynote address at the NDTV World Summit 2025 in New Delhi, emphasizing India’s remarkable transformation over the past decade—from being counted among the “Fragile Five” economies in 2014 to emerging today as the world’s fastest-growing major economy.

The Prime Minister said the theme “Unstoppable Bharat” aptly reflects India’s spirit of resilience and reform. “In 2014, the world questioned India’s stability amid policy paralysis and economic stagnation. Today, India is setting global benchmarks in growth, governance, and innovation,” he remarked.

Highlighting India’s achievements, the Prime Minister noted that despite global conflicts and economic headwinds, India recorded a 7.8% growth rate, prompting global agencies like S&P to upgrade India’s outlook for the first time in 17 years. “The world now views India as a reliable, responsible, and resilient economy,” he said.

The Prime Minister outlined India’s expanding trade and technology partnerships, citing the EFTA Trade Agreement and the country’s attractiveness as a hub for over 100 multinational investments. He said that India has turned “risks into reforms and reforms into a revolution,” underscoring innovations such as UPI, which processes 50% of the world’s real-time digital transactions.

Speaking on governance transformation, Modi said his government simplified 60 major policies and 11 complex processes, ensuring faster decisions, reduced corruption, and increased accountability. He highlighted India’s digital infrastructure, expanding 4G and 5G connectivity to remote regions, noting that 1 GB of data now costs less than ₹10, compared to ₹300 in 2014.

Reflecting on political stability, he stated that India’s governance has shifted from instability to accountability, backed by decisive mandates and a strong reform agenda. “Growth with development and dignity defines today’s India,” he said, stressing that innovation, efficiency, and empathy remain central to governance.

Prime Minister Modi concluded by asserting that “Unstoppable Bharat” embodies not just economic strength but also a nation confident in its destiny, driven by inclusive development, technological leadership, and global credibility.
