DS Jagan promoted as Additional Director of Telangana I&PR Department
D.S. Jagan has been promoted as Additional Director of Telangana’s I&PR Department and assumed charge, with senior officials urging him to strengthen government-media-public coordination.
After taking charge, D.S. Jagan called on Revenue, Housing and Information & Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
HYDERABAD: Senior I&PR officer DS Jagan has been promoted as Additional Director of the Telangana Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department and has assumed charge following the issuance of promotion orders by the state government on Tuesday.
After taking charge, Jagan called on Revenue, Housing and Information & Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy at the Dr BR Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat.
The minister congratulated Jagan on his promotion and wished him success in his new role. He asked the Additional Director to work towards effective dissemination of information on the government’s policies, development programmes and welfare schemes, while strengthening coordination among the government, media and the public.
Jagan also met I&PR Special Commissioner Dr G. Mukunda Reddy, who congratulated him on his promotion.
Jagan said he would discharge his responsibilities efficiently and work to live up to the confidence reposed in him by the government. He said he would coordinate closely with officials and staff to ensure wider dissemination of information on government policies, development initiatives and welfare programmes.
Officials and staff of the I&PR Department congratulated Jagan on assuming charge as Additional Director.
