Archaeologists found evidence of Noah’s Ark, supporting biblical account: Pastor Paul Emmanuel
Dr Paul Emmanuel discusses claims of archaeological findings linked to Noah’s Ark in Turkey, citing radar scans and proposed carbon dating while drawing lessons of faith from the biblical flood

Renowned evangelist Pastor Paul Emmanuel has cited claims about investigations at Turkey’s Durupinar site while arguing that the biblical account of Noah’s Ark deserves examination alongside its spiritual message.
In a message delivered on Tuesday, Emmanuel discussed a ship-shaped formation associated by some researchers with the Ark described in Genesis. He linked the site’s prominence to aerial photographs examined by Turkish officer Ilhan Durupinar in 1959.
According to Emmanuel, the formation’s reported length of about 515 feet closely resembles interpretations of the Ark’s biblical dimensions. He also recounted local claims that an earthquake in 1948 exposed the formation.
The pastor acknowledged that scientists had questioned whether its appearance demonstrated the presence of an ancient vessel.
He claimed subsequent investigations used ground-penetrating radar and three-dimensional scans, revealing parallel lines and right angles that investigators interpreted as possible signs of construction.
Emmanuel also described alleged drilling and robotic exploration intended to retrieve material for radiocarbon testing. However, he presented confirmation of approximately 5,000-year-old timber as a potential future finding, rather than reporting completed dating results.
The transcript provides no research papers, laboratory reports or independently verifiable documentation establishing that Noah’s Ark has been discovered. The archaeological assertions therefore remain claims attributed to the speaker.
Emmanuel compared the biblical flood account with narratives from other traditions, including the story of Manu in the Matsya Purana, expressing his belief in the biblical account’s historical reliability.
Turning to religious teaching, he identified four central lessons: divine judgment, grace towards the righteous, obedience to God and the covenant represented by the rainbow.
He also referred to Jesus’ comparison between Noah’s time and the end times, urging listeners to reflect on their conduct and spiritual preparedness.
The pastor concluded by encouraging viewers to examine the subject themselves and said further episodes would explore the claims and his interpretation of the biblical narrative.
