Duravit unveils Tulum faucet collection blending Philippe Starck’s minimalist design with water-saving technology

NEW DELHI: Premium bathroom solutions manufacturer Duravit has introduced the Tulum faucet collection, a new designer range created by internationally acclaimed designer Philippe Starck that combines minimalist aesthetics with sustainable technologies for modern bathrooms.
Inspired by the Mayan word “Tulu’um,” meaning wall or fortress, the Tulum collection reflects an architectural design language that blends a conical faucet body with a flat rectangular spout. The result is a distinctive yet understated design intended to complement a wide range of contemporary bathroom interiors.
The collection includes faucets for washbasins, bidets, showers and bathtubs, and is available in chrome and matte black finishes. Basin mixers are offered in three sizes, enabling installation directly on the washbasin, behind the wash bowl or as a concealed wall-mounted single-lever mixer to suit different bathroom layouts.
Beyond aesthetics, the Tulum range incorporates several technologies aimed at enhancing user comfort and improving resource efficiency. Duravit’s AirPlus technology enriches the water stream with air to create a fuller and more comfortable flow, while HeatLock limits the maximum water temperature to reduce the risk of scalding. Selected washbasin faucets in the S and M sizes are also available with the FreshStart function, designed to reduce unnecessary hot water consumption and support more efficient energy and water use.
To simplify bathroom planning, the collection is integrated with Duravit’s Best Match concept, which recommends compatible combinations of Tulum faucets and ceramic washbasins. According to the company, these combinations have undergone extensive testing to ensure visual harmony as well as functional compatibility, creating coordinated bathroom spaces.

The company collaborates with internationally renowned designers, including Philippe Starck, Antonio Citterio, Cecilie Manz, Christian Werner and Sebastian Herkner.
Duravit has also reaffirmed its sustainability ambitions, stating that it aims to become entirely climate-neutral by 2045 while minimising the use of carbon offsetting, reflecting its long-term commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing and product development.
