Axis Bank Launches AI-Powered Compliance Solutions for Business Banking Customers
New AI-driven ReKYC and digital profile update services aim to simplify compliance workflows for current account holders
The bank said the new offerings are designed to simplify traditionally complex regulatory processes through the use of Generative AI, document intelligence and real-time GST data integration.

Mumbai: Axis Bank has launched a suite of AI-powered compliance transformation solutions for current account customers, introducing automated and paperless systems for ReKYC and digital business profile updates.
The bank said the new offerings are designed to simplify traditionally complex regulatory processes through the use of Generative AI, document intelligence and real-time GST data integration.
One of the key launches is the Digital Business Profile Update Service, which enables businesses to digitally update information such as nature of business through a fully automated workflow without paperwork or branch visits. The platform uses AI models and live GST filing data to automatically identify and assign appropriate occupation codes from a database of over 3,000 categories.
According to the bank, the service significantly reduces manual intervention while improving speed and accuracy in compliance-related updates.
Axis Bank has also rolled out an AI-powered ReKYC solution for non-individual current account customers. The system uses advanced document intelligence to identify, extract and validate multiple KYC documents uploaded within a single PDF file.
The AI-assisted workflow proactively flags missing documents, data gaps and quality issues during the submission process, shifting compliance checks from post-submission corrections to real-time preventive validation.
The bank said the solution has already been deployed across India and currently covers customer categories accounting for nearly 90% of ReKYC volumes. Early results indicate reduced rework, faster processing and improved operational productivity.
Sameer Shetty said the bank is focusing on redesigning high-impact regulatory processes using intelligent automation.
“The combination of Generative AI, document intelligence and real-time GST data allows us to simplify complex workflows at scale while strengthening compliance and operational resilience,” he said.
Axis Bank said the initiative forms part of its broader strategy to build AI-led banking systems aimed at enhancing trust, transparency and customer convenience across business banking operations.
