Mumbai: ManipalCigna Health Insurance has appointed Anjan Kumar Ganguly as its chief financial officer (CFO), strengthening its leadership team as the company enters its next phase of growth.

A qualified chartered accountant with more than two decades of experience, Ganguly brings expertise across financial services, fintech, telecommunications, FMCG and retail sectors. His experience spans financial controllership, strategic finance, regulatory compliance, governance, risk management and business transformation.

In his new role, Ganguly will lead ManipalCigna’s finance function, with responsibilities including strengthening governance and control frameworks, enhancing operational efficiency through technology and automation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the company’s long-term growth strategy.

Before joining ManipalCigna, Ganguly held senior leadership positions at BharatPe, SBI Cards and British Telecom, where he led large-scale finance operations, financial reporting, audit governance and transformation initiatives. He has been instrumental in driving process optimisation, strengthening internal controls and implementing finance transformation programmes throughout his career.

Joydeep Saha, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ManipalCigna Health Insurance, said Ganguly’s extensive experience in finance, governance, business transformation and strategic planning would support the company’s long-term growth ambitions.
