Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday inaugurated Premier Energies’ next-generation solar module manufacturing facility at Seetarampur in Shabad, asserting that the time has come to focus on development rather than politics as the state pursues its ambitious goal of becoming a US$3 trillion economy by 2047. He said political battles should be confined to election seasons, while the government’s priority must remain accelerating Telangana’s economic growth and positioning it as the country’s leading investment destination.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the government is working with the objective of ensuring Telangana contributes 10 per cent to India’s economic growth. He observed that although the state continues to attract investments, the current pace is insufficient to compete with leading global economies. Stressing the need for world-class infrastructure, he said the government is committed to creating an enabling environment that attracts larger domestic and international investments, enabling Telangana to emerge as the number one state in the country.
Revanth Reddy also highlighted the importance of sustainable urbanisation, expressing concern over rising pollution levels in Delhi and growing traffic congestion in metropolitan cities such as Bengaluru and Chennai. He said the Telangana government has already initiated long-term planning to ensure Hyderabad develops as a clean, sustainable and future-ready city. As part of this strategy, about 2,100 square kilometres within the Outer Ring Road have been earmarked under the CURE (Core Urban Region Ecosystem) initiative exclusively for the service sector. He added that the state has also been divided into CURE, PURE and RARE zones to promote balanced and environmentally sustainable development.
The Chief Minister said the government has established a Skills University and Advanced Training Centres (ATCs) to equip the state’s youth with industry-relevant skills required by emerging sectors. He described the inauguration of the advanced solar module manufacturing facility as another important milestone in Telangana’s journey towards becoming a hub for renewable energy manufacturing and green industrialisation.
Acknowledging the contribution of farmers whose land made the project possible, Revanth Reddy directed the Ranga Reddy District Collector to ensure comprehensive rehabilitation measures for affected families. He instructed officials to provide housing and develop commercial complexes to create sustainable livelihood opportunities for those who parted with their land for the project.
Expressing gratitude to the farmers of Ranga Reddy district, the Chief Minister said the state government has already allocated special funds for the development of the Chevella constituency. He also noted that a 100-metre-wide road connecting Budwel and Kodangal is currently under construction to improve regional connectivity and announced that he would return to the area to inaugurate a temple in the near future.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Premier Energies Limited Chairman Surender Pal Singh Saluja, Managing Director Chiranjeevi Saluja, Executive Director Revathi Rohini Buragadda, Director Sudheer Reddy, along with senior government officials and industry representatives.
