Mumbai: CaratLane, a Tata product and omni-channel jewellery retailer, has launched a new collection of Polki jewellery featuring natural uncut diamonds, aimed at blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design aesthetics.

The new collection, branded as “Polki”, seeks to reinterpret one of India’s most recognised jewellery styles for modern consumers by offering designs suitable for both everyday wear and festive occasions. The collection is built around natural, uncut diamonds that retain their original form, giving each piece a distinct appearance and character.

Unlike cut and polished diamonds, Polki diamonds preserve their natural structure, highlighting the raw beauty of the stone while offering consumers a unique jewellery option. According to the company, the collection celebrates individuality and self-expression through designs that combine heritage craftsmanship with modern styling.

The range comprises more than 60 designs across multiple themes, including Meenakari-inspired creations, Talaf craftsmanship, modern classic designs and gemstone-studded jewellery. The collection draws inspiration from traditional Indian artistic styles while incorporating CaratLane’s contemporary design language.

Saumen Bhaumik, managing director of CaratLane, said the company aimed to make Polki jewellery more versatile and relevant for a new generation of consumers.

“Polki has always held a special place in Indian jewellery traditions. With this collection, we wanted to reimagine Polki for consumers who appreciate heritage while seeking designs that fit seamlessly into their everyday lives,” he said.

The collection is currently available through select CaratLane stores and on the company’s online platform. As part of the launch offer, the designs are being sold with a 50 per cent discount on making charges.

Founded in 2008, CaratLane operates more than 375 stores across India and internationally in New Jersey and Texas. The company, backed by the Tata Group through Titan, has expanded its omni-channel presence through initiatives such as online live shopping, home trials and personalised diamond shopping services.
