Installation blends AI, art, and wellness to celebrate a design icon

Milan: Technogym marked the 40th anniversary of its iconic home fitness product Unica with an immersive art installation titled UNICA MENTE at Milan Design Week 2026.
Unveiled at Technogym Milano and curated with art direction by artist Felice Limosani, the installation explores the evolving relationship between body, mind, and wellbeing. The exhibit blends real portraits with AI-generated reinterpretations, bringing together 40 personalities from sports, art, and culture to create a collective narrative around wellness.
The installation, held from April 21 to 26, transforms Unica from a functional fitness product into a cultural symbol, reflecting Technogym’s philosophy of “healthy people, healthy planet.” As part of the initiative, each contributor has selected a school or institution to receive a Technogym Unica, extending the project’s impact beyond the exhibition.
Originally designed by founder Nerio Alessandri, Unica redefined home fitness by integrating a full gym experience into a compact format. With capabilities supporting over 25 exercises, the product has become a global benchmark in home wellness.
Technogym said the installation highlights how home spaces have evolved into central hubs for personal wellbeing, where fitness is seamlessly integrated into daily life, reinforcing Unica’s legacy as a pioneer in design-led wellness solutions.
