Republic Day 2026: Around 10000 special guests invited to attend parade at Kartavya Path

New Delhi: Around 10,000 special guests, along with their spouses, from across the country have been invited to witness the 77th Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path on January 26, 2026, as part of efforts to recognise grassroots contributions to nation-building and enhance public participation in national events.

According to official information, the invitees include individuals and groups drawn from diverse sectors such as agriculture, science and technology, innovation, sports, social welfare, tribal development, entrepreneurship and skilled trades. The initiative aims to honour exemplary work in income and employment generation, research, innovation, and implementation of key government programmes, while strengthening Jan Bhagidari in national celebrations.

The special guests include winners of international sports and para-athletics events; farmers practising natural farming and beneficiaries of crop insurance schemes; scientists and technical personnel associated with missions such as Gaganyaan and Chandrayaan; researchers under the deep ocean mission; innovators and start-ups under programmes such as Semicon India and the bio-economy policy; and artisans trained under schemes including PM Vishwakarma, Khadi Vikas Yojana and Mahila Coir Yojana.

Also invited are beneficiaries and field-level contributors from flagship initiatives such as Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Awaas Yojana (Grameen), PM SVANidhi, PM Shramyogi Maandhan, PM Mudra Yojana, NRLM (Lakhpati Didi), Atal Innovation Mission, National Green Hydrogen Mission, and the animal husbandry infrastructure development fund.

In addition, sarpanches from panchayats that have achieved saturation in central schemes, volunteers from disaster management and youth programmes, NCC-linked achievers, intellectual property holders, and participants of Mann ki Baat have been included.

The guests will be seated at prominent locations along Kartavya Path. Arrangements have also been made for them to visit key national sites in the capital, including the National War Memorial and the Prime Ministers’ Museum, and to interact with ministers during their stay.
