Ajmer: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the nationwide HPV vaccination campaign from Ajmer and inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development projects worth approximately ₹17,000 crore across Rajasthan.

Addressing a public gathering, the Prime Minister said the government is committed to all-round development and that the day marked a major step in accelerating Rajasthan’s growth journey. He noted that projects spanning roads, electricity, water, health and education would enhance public convenience and generate employment opportunities for youth.

Modi described the launch of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination campaign as a significant step towards empowering the country’s ‘Nari Shakti’. Emphasising women’s health, he said a healthy mother strengthens the entire family and highlighted government initiatives aimed at supporting women, including sanitation drives, access to sanitary pads and the Ujjwala gas scheme. He also referred to a safe motherhood initiative that provides ₹5,000 assistance during pregnancy to ensure proper nutrition.

The Prime Minister said more than 21,000 appointment letters were distributed to new recruits, marking a new phase of opportunities for Rajasthan’s youth.

Highlighting infrastructure development, Modi said improved connectivity through roads, rail and air is transforming Rajasthan’s prospects, boosting tourism in regions such as Ajmer-Pushkar and supporting local businesses and artisans. He added that infrastructure around the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor is positioning Rajasthan as a land of opportunities for global investment.

Referring to renewable energy initiatives, the Prime Minister said Rajasthan’s abundant sunlight is becoming a source of savings and income. Under the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, households receive ₹78,000 assistance for rooftop solar installation. He noted that over 1.25 lakh families in Rajasthan have already benefited, with many witnessing near-zero electricity bills.

On agriculture and water security, Modi said the campaign to link rivers would significantly benefit Rajasthan. He cited the modified Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal and Yamuna-Rajasthan link projects, stating that they would provide assured water supply to farmers in districts such as Jhalawar, Baran, Kota and Bundi.

The Prime Minister also underscored India’s growing global stature, mentioning the recent AI Summit in Delhi and the nation’s achievements across sectors, including defence and digital infrastructure.

Concluding his address, Modi reiterated the vision of “Developed India through Developed Rajasthan,” emphasising long-term planning, timely decisions and inclusive growth as the pillars of nation-building.
