New Delhi, November 3: The Indian Navy will spearhead Tri-Services Exercise (TSE-2025) “Trishul”, a large-scale joint military exercise involving the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force, beginning in early November 2025.

The high-intensity exercise, coordinated by the Headquarters Western Naval Command, will see simultaneous operations across the creek and desert sectors of Rajasthan and Gujarat and comprehensive maritime drills in the northern Arabian Sea, including amphibious operations.

Principal formations participating in “Trishul” include the Army’s Southern Command, Navy’s Western Naval Command, and the Air Force’s South Western Air Command, alongside the Indian Coast Guard, Border Security Force (BSF), and other central agencies — reinforcing inter-agency coordination and integrated operations.

According to the Ministry of Defence, TSE-2025 aims to validate and synchronize operational procedures across the three Services, enabling joint, effect-based operations in a multi-domain environment. The exercise will test interoperability, network integration, and joint mission planning across land, air, sea, cyber, and space domains.

A major highlight of “Trishul” will be the large-scale deployment of Indian Navy warships, IAF fighter and support aircraft, and amphibious assets including the Landing Platform Dock INS Jalashwa and Landing Craft Utility (LCU) vessels. The exercise will also validate joint Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations, Electronic Warfare (EW), and Cyber Warfare capabilities.

Carrier-based operations by the Navy will be conducted jointly with shore-based IAF assets, underlining the increasing integration between the services.

Reflecting the principles of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, the exercise will emphasize the employment of indigenous systems and the refinement of tactics to address emerging security challenges and the evolving nature of warfare.

“TSE-2025 Trishul” underscores the collective resolve of India’s armed forces to operate in a fully integrated manner, strengthening joint operational readiness and national security preparedness across domains.
