Mumbai: Cloud.in, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), hosted an executive summit focused on strengthening security frameworks for generative AI and modern business workloads, bringing together senior industry leaders and security experts.

The closed-door summit, titled “Securing Generative AI and Business Workloads: Proactive Defense through Zero Trust at the Edge”, saw participation from around 50 delegates representing sectors such as fintech, media, and journalism. Discussions centred on the growing complexity of AI-driven threat landscapes and the need for proactive, architecture-led security strategies.

Shift towards zero trust and edge security

A key highlight was a panel discussion on securing generative AI workloads, where experts underlined the accelerating shift towards zero trust architectures. The discussion emphasised that real-time, AI-powered applications—particularly in fintech and media—require security models that operate closer to the edge, rather than relying solely on traditional perimeter-based defences.

The panel concluded that while advanced tools are critical, long-term resilience depends equally on strong governance, leadership accountability, and continuous risk assessment.

AWS perspective on evolving threats

The summit opened with a keynote by Abhijeet Pandey, who outlined the changing cyber threat landscape in India. He highlighted the emergence of what he described as the “new perimeter,” where distributed workloads and edge computing demand security strategies that can respond to threats in real time.

This was followed by a technical session led by AWS solutions architects, demonstrating how integrated services such as AWS WAF, Bot Control, and Shield Advanced can help organisations detect and mitigate sophisticated attacks before they impact core infrastructure.

Cloud.in’s security and governance offerings

Abhay Joshi said the summit reflected Cloud.in’s focus on helping enterprises adopt and scale AWS security frameworks with confidence.

Cloud.in also showcased its proprietary security and governance solutions, including:

  • Rudra Sentinel, a threat detection and monitoring platform
  • Niyantrac, a cloud governance and configuration control solution designed to support continuous compliance

A second panel discussion, “Future-Proofing Security: Navigating AI Risks and Edge Defense”, brought together industry leaders to share sector-specific insights on managing AI risks and integrating security into digital transformation strategies.

“As generative AI becomes central to business strategy, security can no longer be an afterthought,” Joshi said, adding that organisations must embed security into innovation from the outset.

The summit concluded with networking sessions, enabling participants to exchange insights and explore collaborative approaches to securing AI-driven business transformation.
