Bengaluru, December 22: Ather Energy, one of India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturers, on Monday announced a price hike of up to ₹3,000 across its scooter portfolio, effective January 1, 2026. The company attributed the revision to rising global costs of raw materials, foreign exchange pressures, and increased prices of key electronic components.

Customers planning to purchase an Ather scooter in December can still lock in current prices ahead of the hike. The company’s ongoing Electric December campaign offers benefits of up to ₹20,000 across select cities. These include instant credit card EMI discounts, cash incentives, and a complimentary eight-year extended battery warranty—Eight70™—on select models, along with financing support from multiple lending partners.

Now in its third year, Electric December underscores Ather’s focus on delivering long-term value to electric vehicle buyers during the year-end purchase period, supported by its integrated hardware-software ecosystem and after-sales network.

Ather’s product lineup includes the performance-focused 450 series and the Rizta, its first family-oriented electric scooter. The 450 range offers features such as multi-mode traction control and MagicTwist™, along with connected capabilities including Google Maps navigation, WhatsApp integration on the dashboard, and call and music controls.

The Rizta has been gaining traction in newer markets and recently crossed the two lakh sales milestone. The model has played a significant role in expanding Ather’s footprint and retail network across India. Designed for everyday family use, the Rizta offers 56 litres of storage capacity, including 34 litres under the seat and an optional 22-litre front storage, along with a wide seat and generous floorboard space. Safety features include SkidControl™, Fall Safe™, Emergency Stop Signal, and theft and tow alerts. At Ather Community Day 2025, the company also announced a touchscreen upgrade for the Rizta Z variant.

In addition to Ather Experience Centres across the country, the company’s scooters are available for online purchase through Amazon and Flipkart.
