Thump! Celebration Half Marathon and 10K draw runners in Bengaluru
Participants competed across multiple categories, including the 32 km run, 21.1 km half marathon and 10 km run in the competitive segment for runners aged 16 years and above.
Bengaluru, December 16: The 12th edition of the Thump! Celebration Bengaluru Half Marathon and 10K Run was held on Sunday, drawing enthusiastic participation as part of the Celebration Run Series organised by Life is Calling Sports Management Limited, in association with Hosachiguru.
The event took place at the NICE Toll Plaza, behind PES College on Ring Road, Nayandahalli, with races flagged off at 5.30 am. Participants competed across multiple categories, including the 32 km run, 21.1 km half marathon and 10 km run in the competitive segment for runners aged 16 years and above. A 5 km run and walk was also organised in the non-competitive category for participants aged 11 years and above.
The Celebration Run Series aims to promote health, fitness and social causes, with “celebration” as its central theme. As part of the initiative, Life is Calling Sports, in association with the Runaddicts Foundation, also organised a 5 km run to support rural education.
The event received strong logistical support from Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise, enabling runners to experience the NICE Corridor. Several partners supported the marathon, including Tour de Malnad as cycling partner, Radio Red FM as radio partner, Thoughtfocus Technologies as technology partner, Bangalore Hospitals, Jayanagar and Kengeri as medical partner, Akshayakalpa as organic refreshments partner, Hatti Kaapi as coffee partner, and BHIVE as coworking partner.
Organisers said the Bengaluru edition continues to be one of the flagship events under the Celebration Run Series, which has seen multiple editions across Karnataka. Life is Calling Sports has conducted 15 editions in Mysuru, 12 in Bengaluru, three in Mangaluru and several corporate sporting events involving running, relay races and duathlon formats.
Hosachiguru, the title partner for the 10K run, is a land asset management company focused on developing and managing farmland near Bengaluru, with an emphasis on sustainable land investment and ecological restoration.
