Tech-led Innovation Can Double Farmers’ Income, Says Telangana Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan at Earth Summit 2025

Hyderabad, November 21: Technology-led innovation can significantly raise the incomes of farmers growing rice, maize and cotton, Telangana Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan said at the Earth Summit 2025–26, organised by NABARD and the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI). Ranjan highlighted Hyderabad’s strong AgriTech ecosystem, which hosts over two dozen innovation centres, and credited the state government and NABARD for sustained support to startups. He also pointed to his upcoming initiative, Telangana Rising Vision 2047, a comprehensive roadmap outlining interventions for farmers, women and youth. The document, he said, will play a key role in attracting private capital to rural transformation.

The Hyderabad leg of the three-city Earth Summit brought together policymakers, digital platforms, climate-tech innovators, financial institutions and startups from across South, East and Northeast India. The two-day event saw participation from over 2,000 delegates, 80 speakers, more than 50 exhibitors and representatives from 15 states and UTs. Supported by multiple central ministries, the summit focused on the theme Empowering Rural Innovation for Global Change and will travel next to Gandhinagar and Delhi.
