Fostering Democratic Values

The programme is designed to cultivate self-discipline, tolerance for differing viewpoints, responsible expression of opinions and an appreciation of democratic values among young citizens. It also helps students develop leadership qualities, public speaking skills, confidence and the ability to participate constructively in discussions and debates.
As India continues to strengthen democratic participation among its youth, the National Youth Parliament Competition remains one of the country’s most significant educational initiatives for nurturing future leaders and informed citizens.
