Mahindra Unveils Global Vision 2027 with Four World-Beating SUV Concepts on NU_IQ Platform

The four concepts – Vision.S, Vision.T, Vision.SXT, and Vision.X – mark a bold step in Mahindra’s journey to redefine the SUV category by combining modularity, adaptability, and advanced technologies.
Mumbai, August 17: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, India’s leading SUV manufacturer, on Saturday unveiled its Global Vision 2027, showcasing four futuristic SUV design concepts built on its all-new modular, multi-energy NU_IQ platform. The company said the platform will underpin its next generation of SUVs, set to launch from 2027 onwards.
The four concepts – Vision.S, Vision.T, Vision.SXT, and Vision.X – mark a bold step in Mahindra’s journey to redefine the SUV category by combining modularity, adaptability, and advanced technologies.

The NU_IQ platform is designed to address “white spaces” in the automotive market across India and international markets. Key features include:
- Command seating with superior driving dynamics
- Super spacious cabins with class-leading boot space
- Flat-form architecture, enabling the first flat-floor ICE SUV
- Lightweight build meeting top-tier safety standards
- NU_UX integrated domain architecture for next-gen tech experiences
- Endless adaptability, supporting multiple body styles, powertrains, and configurations across FWD, AWD, LHD, and RHD markets

The design concepts, jointly developed at the Mahindra India Design Studio (MIDS) in Mumbai and Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE) in Banbury, UK, showcase distinct personalities: the Born Iconic spirit of Vision.T and Vision.SXT, the Sporty Solidity of Vision.S, and the Sculptural Athleticism of Vision.X.
Engineered at Mahindra Research Valley, the SUVs will enter production beginning in 2027, targeting both India and global left-hand and right-hand drive markets.
