NEW DELHI: Digital India’s Ask Our Experts platform has positioned the India AI Impact Summit 2026 as a defining moment in India’s artificial intelligence journey, with policymakers and domain specialists outlining how the country plans to shape a responsible, inclusive and people-centric AI ecosystem.
The focus emerged during the 38th episode of Digital India Ask Our Experts, which centred on the upcoming global summit and its role in influencing AI policy, skilling frameworks and real-world implementation across India and the Global South.
Officials from IndiaAI and the Ministry of Electronics and IT addressed questions from citizens, startups, students and professionals on jobs, skills, data access, infrastructure and participation. The panel explained that the Summit is structured around three guiding pillars—People, Planet and Progress—supported by thematic working groups designed to translate discussion into policy and action.
The episode underlined that the Summit’s outcomes are expected to feed directly into India’s AI roadmap, with a strong emphasis on inclusion, governance and practical deployment rather than purely technological advancement.
Special attention was drawn to opportunities for youth, startups, women innovators and learners from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. Initiatives such as AI and data labs, global challenges, pitch fests and the YUVAI Global Youth Challenge were highlighted as entry points for wider participation in the AI ecosystem.
Experts also outlined plans for the India AI Impact Expo 2026, scheduled at Bharat Mandapam from February 16 to 20, where AI applications in education, healthcare, agriculture and governance will be showcased with a clear focus on societal impact.
Addressing concerns on open data, healthcare datasets, non-technical user inclusion and online participation, the panel said IndiaAI is working towards secure, open and accessible platforms that allow individuals, small teams and public sector organisations to contribute meaningfully.
The session concluded with a call for citizens to register and engage with the Summit process, reinforcing the message that India’s AI future will be shaped through broad-based participation rather than top-down adoption.
Digital India Ask Our Experts continues to function as an interactive forum linking citizens directly with government experts, fostering informed dialogue on emerging technologies. The episode saw strong nationwide engagement, with viewers responding positively to the clear and accessible explanations offered during the discussion.
