Cosmos Diamonds expands Vijayawada presence with larger store featuring over 1000 designs
The homegrown lab-grown diamond jewellery brand has opened a larger outlet near Benz Circle, strengthening its presence in the city where it began its journey in 2021.

VIJAYAWADA: Cosmos Diamonds, a homegrown lab-grown diamond jewellery brand founded in Vijayawada, has opened a larger retail store on M.G. Road, near Benz Circle, expanding its product range and retail presence in the city where it began operations.
The new outlet brings together more than 1,000 jewellery designs spanning contemporary, traditional, everyday and occasion wear. Its collections include South Indian heritage-inspired jewellery, engagement rings and wedding designs.
Founded in 2021 by Sanjana Tripuramallu, Cosmos Diamonds has expanded from Vijayawada to Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The company said it has served more than 10,000 clients worldwide.
The brand’s business model centres on making diamond jewellery purchases more transparent and accessible. Its offerings include hallmarked gold jewellery, certified diamonds and a 100% buyback and exchange policy, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
“Vijayawada is where Cosmos Diamonds began, so opening a larger store here is particularly meaningful for us,” said Sanjana Tripuramallu, Founder of Cosmos Diamonds. She said the new store would offer customers a wider choice of designs and an expanded retail experience.
From jewellery to space
Beyond its retail operations, Cosmos Diamonds has explored applications of lab-grown diamonds in design and technology.
In July 2026, its Cosmic Bloom diamond artwork travelled to space aboard Skyroot Aerospace’s Vikram-1 rocket. The artwork was created using 32 lab-grown pear-cut diamonds with a combined weight of 16.95 carats. It was mounted in gold and secured to an aluminium plate designed to withstand rocket launch conditions.
The project reflects the company’s interest in exploring the use of lab-grown diamonds beyond conventional jewellery and its engagement with India’s emerging private space sector.
Cosmos Diamonds was started with a bootstrapped investment of ₹3 lakh. The founder’s search for a transparent diamond-buying experience while looking for her engagement ring in 2020 led her to explore lab-grown diamonds and establish the venture.
The larger Vijayawada store marks another step in the company’s expansion while reinforcing its presence in the market where the brand originated.
