NEW DELHI: Ferrari has showcased its electric mobility ambitions and future technology alongside its motorsport heritage at Universo Ferrari India, an immersive exhibition that concluded in New Delhi after attracting more than 22,000 visitors over two weeks.
Held at Yashobhoomi, the exhibition brought together the Italian luxury sports car manufacturer’s vehicles, racing technologies and heritage collections, while marking another step in its engagement with the Indian market.
A key attraction was Ferrari Luce, the company’s first electric car, presented alongside Ferrari Hypersail, which made its debut in Asia at the exhibition. Their presence highlighted the company’s exploration of new technologies and mobility platforms alongside its established performance-oriented vehicle portfolio.
Ferrari also displayed the F80, 849 Testarossa Spider, 12Cilindri Spider, Amalfi Spider, Daytona SP3 and F50, representing different generations of its sports cars.
Electric mobility and motorsport technology
The exhibition offered visitors a view of Ferrari’s approach to performance engineering through its road cars and racing programmes.
The Scuderia Ferrari SF-26 Formula 1 car and the triple Le Mans-winning 499P were among the racing vehicles displayed, alongside the 296 GT3 and 296 Challenge.
Ferrari Luce represented the company’s move towards electric mobility, while Ferrari Hypersail provided a glimpse into its technology ambitions beyond conventional automotive applications.
The exhibition also featured the Ferrari Classiche collection, including the 365 GTB4 and a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti that participated in the 2008 Magic India Discovery tour.
India expansion with two new dealerships
Ferrari said it plans to strengthen its retail presence in India with two new dealerships in Chennai and Ahmedabad by the end of 2026.
The expansion is intended to bring the brand closer to customers and enthusiasts in additional markets as it builds on its existing presence in the country.
The exhibition also extended beyond New Delhi through an 1,800-km journey involving 25 Ferraris from Mumbai to the capital. The convoy travelled through Vadodara, Udaipur, Jaipur and Agra, connecting the event with several Indian cities.
Ferrari’s motorsport presence in the region also received attention, with Avelon Luxe joining as its India-based partner for the Ferrari Hypercar and Ferrari Challenge Middle East series.
Engagement with students and social initiatives
Universo Ferrari India included interactions with around 1,000 students through dedicated seminars and exchanges with Ferrari leaders and experts.
The sessions covered innovation, technology, design and entrepreneurship, offering students an opportunity to engage with the company’s experience in engineering and performance development.
A charity auction supporting Bal Raksha Bharat, also known as Save the Children India, was organised as part of the initiative. Proceeds will support educational opportunities for children from underserved communities.
The exhibition’s conclusion marks another phase in Ferrari’s efforts to strengthen its engagement with India, combining its automotive heritage with electric mobility, advanced engineering, motorsport and retail expansion.
