Avinash Group Acquires IndigoLearn to Expand Digital Commerce Education
The acquisition is aimed at strengthening the group’s strategy of delivering next-generation commerce and professional education by integrating its established offline academic network with IndigoLearn’s digital learning capabilities.
Move aims to combine offline academic expertise with EdTech capabilities for professional courses
Hyderabad: Avinash Group of Institutions has announced the acquisition of IndigoLearn Edu Tech, a digital learning platform widely known among CA, CMA and CFA aspirants as IndigoLearn or 1FIN.
The acquisition is aimed at strengthening the group’s strategy of delivering next-generation commerce and professional education by integrating its established offline academic network with IndigoLearn’s digital learning capabilities.
Founder-CEO Avinash Brahmadevara said the move will enable the launch of a new digital learning initiative called Avinash Online Learning (AOL), designed to provide exam-focused and career-oriented courses for students pursuing professional qualifications, undergraduate commerce education and emerging skill programmes.
“Through this acquisition, we aim to bring high-quality, exam-focused and career-oriented content to students pursuing professional courses, undergraduate commerce education, upskilling programmes and emerging domains such as artificial intelligence,” Brahmadevara said.
He added that IndigoLearn’s digital platform and academic expertise would help expand access to professional education for students across India.
Expanding reach in professional education
Co-Founder & CEO of IndigoLearn Sriram Somayajula said the partnership will combine IndigoLearn’s digital learning expertise with Avinash Group’s academic infrastructure and student network.
“The strong academic foundation and extensive offline presence of the Avinash Group, along with their deep on-ground connect with students, will significantly expand our reach across Telangana and the rest of India,” Somayajula said.
Founded in 2017 by Sriram Somayajula, Suraj Lakhotia and Sarat Velumuri, IndigoLearn focuses on accounting and finance education for professional courses such as CA, CMA, ACCA and CFA.
The platform pioneered animated, concept-driven online learning modules through its proprietary app and website and has trained more than 15,000 students across various professional levels.
Strengthening commerce education ecosystem
Avinash College of Commerce, part of the Avinash Group, is among South India’s prominent commerce education institutions with more than 13 years of academic presence. The institution has over 1,000 faculty members, educates more than 20,000 students annually, and operates 12 branches offering over 25 specialised commerce career pathways.
The acquisition reflects a broader trend of traditional educational institutions partnering with EdTech platforms to expand digital learning capabilities and improve accessibility to professional education.
By combining classroom-based training with technology-driven learning platforms, the group aims to create a hybrid education ecosystem that supports students preparing for competitive commerce and finance examinations across the country.
