New Delhi, September 11: Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Communications, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Punjab National Bank (PNB) to enhance the bank’s IT infrastructure and accelerate its digital transformation journey. The MoU was signed on September 3 at TCIL headquarters in New Delhi, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.

Under the agreement, TCIL will extend expertise in IT consultancy, project management, and turnkey execution of complex technology projects. The collaboration aims to reinforce PNB’s digital backbone with secure, regulatory-compliant solutions that will strengthen operational resilience and support innovation in customer services.

Key areas of support include RFP lifecycle management, system integration, IT infrastructure rollout, and regulatory-compliant technology deployment. Depending on requirements, TCIL will serve either as Project Management Consultant (PMC) or as Project Implementing Agency (PIA), ensuring alignment with PNB’s technology roadmap.

“This partnership underscores TCIL’s role as a trusted technology partner to leading institutions. By combining our consultancy and turnkey execution expertise, we will help PNB advance its IT foundation and deliver greater value to its customers,” said Sanjeev Kumar, CMD, TCIL.

Calling the MoU a milestone in PNB’s IT modernization efforts, Manish Agrawal, GM, PNB, said: “This collaboration will accelerate our technology transformation and enable us to deliver innovative IT solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers across India.”

The partnership also supports the Government of India’s Digital India vision, with both organisations aiming to foster secure, technology-driven financial services and contribute to the growth of the country’s digital banking ecosystem.
