Hyderabad: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced the launch of the 2026 edition of TCS InQuizitive, its flagship inter-school quiz competition, with registrations now open for students in Hyderabad.

Now in its 28th year, TCS InQuizitive has grown into one of India’s most recognized student knowledge competitions, encouraging young learners to engage with technology, innovation and emerging global trends while developing analytical and problem-solving skills.

The quiz is open to students from Grades 8 to 12, including those studying in pre-university and junior college. The 2026 edition will be conducted across 12 cities — Pune, Indore, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Kochi, Kolkata and Mumbai.

Winning teams from each city will advance to the semi-finals before competing in the national finale scheduled to be held in Mumbai.

According to TCS, the competition has evolved into a gamified learning platform designed to help students stay ahead in an increasingly technology-driven world. Last year, Hyderabad witnessed strong participation, with 233 teams representing 30 schools. Army Public School emerged as the city champion.

Sudeep Kunnumal, Chief Human Resources Officer at TCS, said India’s growing global standing in artificial intelligence presents a significant opportunity for the next generation of innovators and technology leaders. He noted that initiatives such as TCS InQuizitive are designed to nurture curiosity, strengthen STEM capabilities and encourage students to explore the transformative potential of emerging technologies.

The 2026 edition will place a stronger emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines while retaining its broad-based approach to knowledge and learning. Participants will be quizzed on a diverse range of topics, including education, entertainment, sports, business trends, advertising and social media.

In line with evolving industry trends, the competition will also focus on cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, automation, biometrics and robotics, providing students with exposure to concepts that are shaping the future of work and innovation.

TCS InQuizitive builds on the company’s long-standing commitment to fostering young talent through knowledge-based initiatives. The programme traces its roots to TCS IT Wiz, launched in 1999, and continues to serve as a platform for encouraging critical thinking, technological awareness and lifelong learning among students.

Registrations for the competition are now open and entries can be submitted online through the official TCS InQuizitive portal.

As India accelerates its digital transformation journey and strengthens its position in emerging technologies, initiatives such as TCS InQuizitive are playing an increasingly important role in inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs and technology professionals.
