SAMPANN integrates DigiLocker to streamline DoT pension services

New Delhi: The Department of Telecommunications has strengthened its digital pension administration with the integration of SAMPANN with DigiLocker, enabling telecom pensioners to securely access key pension-related documents online.
SAMPANN—System for Accounting and Management of Pension—is a unified, end-to-end digital platform for processing, sanctioning and disbursing pensions directly into pensioners’ bank accounts. The system also provides online grievance redressal, digital profile management and a complete transaction history, aimed at improving transparency and efficiency for DoT retirees.
As part of the latest upgrade, crucial documents such as Gratuity Payment Orders, Pension Certificates or electronic PPOs, Pension Commutation Payment Orders and Form 16 are now available on DigiLocker. The move allows pensioners to access, store and retrieve authenticated records anytime and anywhere.
The DigiLocker integration aligns with the government’s push for digital governance and paperless public services, offering pensioners greater convenience, document authenticity and long-term digital preservation of records.
