New Delhi, December 27: The newly appointed Chairman and Managing Director of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), Saleem Ahmad, has outlined a clear strategic roadmap focused on accelerating revenue growth, strengthening EBITDA margins, and reinforcing execution excellence, in his first interaction with the company’s senior leadership.

Soon after assuming charge on Friday, Ahmad held detailed discussions with RVNL’s top management, during which he articulated key organisational priorities aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, deepening stakeholder engagement, and building greater confidence among investors.

According to the company, the CMD’s leadership vision centres on sustaining long-term growth while ensuring timely project delivery without compromising on quality. Ahmad emphasised the need for structured leadership development and stronger internal capabilities to support RVNL’s expanding national and international footprint.

As part of his strategic roadmap, Ahmad highlighted continued diversification into emerging infrastructure domains, expansion of global partnerships, and raising benchmarks in project execution. Operational efficiency and sustainability-driven growth were also identified as core pillars of RVNL’s forward strategy.

Expressing optimism about the company’s trajectory, Ahmad said RVNL is well-positioned to accelerate innovation, deliver impactful outcomes, and further strengthen its standing as one of India’s most trusted and execution-driven infrastructure organisations.

Founded in 2003, RVNL was established to bridge infrastructure gaps in Indian Railways by fast-tracking project execution. Over the past two decades, the company has completed more than 157 railway projects spanning over 16,500 kilometres. It has also pioneered public-private partnership models through multiple special purpose vehicles.

From its original focus on rail infrastructure, RVNL has expanded into the broader “all infrastructure” space, including metro rail projects across nearly 10 cities in India, and overseas infrastructure ventures. The company has consistently earned top ratings from the Department of Public Enterprises for fourteen consecutive years, reflecting its track record in engineering excellence and timely delivery.

Under its new leadership, RVNL aims to build on this legacy while scaling its role in national and global infrastructure development.
