PMO Officials Take Ekta Pledge on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas

New Delhi, October 31: On the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, officials of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) reaffirmed their commitment to national unity and integrity by taking the Ekta Pledge on Friday.

The pledge was administered by Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology and Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office.

Senior officials including Dr PK Mishra, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister; Shaktikanta Das, Principal Secretary–2; Tarun Kapoor, Advisor to the Prime Minister; and Atish Chandra, Special Secretary to the Prime Minister, participated in the observance along with other PMO staff members.

The event marked the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, whose leadership was instrumental in unifying India after independence. Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, observed annually on October 31, commemorates Patel’s vision of a strong and united nation.

Sharing the moment on X, the Prime Minister’s Office said:

“Union MoS @DrJitendraSingh administered the Ekta Pledge in the Prime Minister’s Office. Principal Secretary to PM Dr PK Mishra, Principal Secretary-2 to PM Shri Shaktikanta Das, Advisor to PM Shri Tarun Kapoor, Special Secretary to PM Shri Atish Chandra and other officials participated.”

The observance underscored the government’s ongoing efforts to promote the ideals of national integration, collective responsibility, and unity in diversity.
