Address highlights clarity of purpose, inner conviction and integrity as foundations for UPSC success
Hyderabad, December 10: Motivational speaker and communication skills trainer Munawar Zama delivered an inspiring address to civil services aspirants at MS IAS Academy, speaking at the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Auditorium on the academy’s Hyderabad campus. Urging students to view the UPSC journey as a mission in national service, he emphasised that true preparation begins with clarity of purpose and unwavering determination.
The auditorium was packed with students who listened with close attention, responding strongly to Zama’s blend of real-life stories, humour, self-reflection and practical guidance. He said success in any high-stakes examination stems from conviction. “No exam can be conquered without clarity of purpose, a strong resolve and an inner fire to excel. But once determination becomes firm, every door begins to open,” he told the audience.
Zama underscored the importance of role models in shaping ambition, citing legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar, whose discipline and achievements laid the foundation for later greats such as Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. “One true role model can start a revolution,” he said.
He also acknowledged the contribution of MS IAS Academy in nurturing future public servants who embody honesty, leadership and national responsibility. He recalled the achievement of Ayesha Fatima, an MS student who secured state first rank in Intermediate across undivided Andhra Pradesh in 2005, calling it a reminder of the academy’s academic culture and expectations of excellence.
One of the most impactful moments of the session was Zama’s narration of the journey of Ummul Khair — a physically challenged student who faced poverty, ridicule and long-term illness, yet cleared the UPSC examination in her first attempt. Her perseverance, he said, stands as a powerful example that challenges can be overcome with courage and resolve. “If she could rise above so much, the UPSC dream is within the reach of every committed aspirant,” he said.
In his concluding remarks, Zama stressed that integrity remains the core of long-term success. “If you commit to honesty and trustworthiness, whether you clear UPSC or not, life itself will become a rank others will respect,” he said.
MS IAS Academy, a flagship initiative of MS Education Academy, offers infrastructure, dedicated study zones, expert mentoring, structured test preparation, interview training and ethics-oriented development.
